Here Khady is in the middle wearing white. To her left is the founder of No Peace Without Justice, Vice President of the Italian Senate Emma Bonino. To her left is Alvilda Jablonko, Coordinator of the FGM Program for NPWJ.

UnCUT/VOICES Press is proud to welcome a decision by the 56th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Our author Khady (Blood Stains), an activist and witness, contributed in major ways to the recommendation that the U.N. General Assembly at its 67th session place Female Genital Mutilation as a specific agenda item within its discussion of women’s advancement. Khady represents No Peace Without Justice which spear-headed the campaign in solidarity with the Inter-African Committee (IAC), EuroNet-FGM, La Palabre, Manifesto 99 and Equality Now.
